Weather permitting, the Lowcountry Stargazers will hold a public event at their dark sky site, Saturday, April 6th at 7:30pm.Observe constellations, planets, the moon and deep sky objects at one of the darker sites in the Charleston area, guided by members of the Lowcountry Stargazers.
Bring a flashlight; red cellophane will be provided to cover the lens to make viewing the stars better. Cellphone flashlights can’t be used in the observing area.
Weather permitting. Johns Island County Park, AKA Mullet Hall Equestrian Center, 2662 Mullet Hall Rd, Johns Island, SC 29455. Members will have their telescopes set up behind the headquarters building, which is to the left after entering the park.
